Gingerbread porting in Progress

Finally got a blog for arowboat, this should be easy for us to communicate on what is happening on arowboat.

The current activity on rowboat is all about Gingerbread migration, with help of Yegor from Mentor graphics, we got Gingerbread synced onto our repository on gitorious.org/rowboat. Things look promising but lot more to do.

We found changes to event architecture, so the x86 patch for Mouse doesn’t apply anymore, looking at ways of doing this, one option we are exploring is to treat mouse as trackball and try to put a cursor for the same. We should be completing this next week “not sure again 🙂 ”

The camera architecture got bit changed, spent a week to get the leopard imaging camera module working on beagleboard xm. Looks good now.

The WLAN and Bluetooth had few corrections, Power Management is on going.

Overall, I think we are on track to make another stable release of Gingerbread by end of March with as many features as possible.

Keep reading our blog for latest updates.

Thanks.
